CHANNEL SETTING
The most popular setting for wedding bands, stones are placed next to each other without any metal in between.

CLUSTER SETTING
In this setting, smaller stones surround a bigger stone.

BAND
In choosing a band, size is a primary consideration. Jewelers have a tool that can easily measure the size of the ring. The band could either be in gold or platinum. A 14k or 18k ring is common and could be either white or yellow gold. K stands for karat which measures the purity of the gold. 24k gold means that the metal is pure gold.

Platinum is a white metal more expensive than gold. It does not tarnish which makes it durable.
