About Men's Jewelry

Looking back to our ancient ancestors, jewelry existed from our
earliest history. Egyptians, 3,000 years ago, were known to wear gold
and silver jewelry, while ancient people wore necklaces made of bones
and animal teeth. Also, we have seen in some historical drawings, how
the Egyptians introduced gemstones, enamels and bracelets.
In the middle period, rings took over. Gold, copper and silver made
rings were worn by the elite classes of society. This also became
common to all level of classes late on. In the late part of Medieval
or Early Renaissance, men and women started to wear necklaces, but as collars. Only the styles of necklaces differ from each other, with necklaces worn by women often appearing more feminine than men's.
The modern fashion of jewelry today was introduced during World War II, due to the scarcity of platinum. At this time, the materials
concentrated more on Gold and silver-made jewels.
